3 years minimum experience computer-assisted drafting using Auto CAD 2006 or later, as well as sketching plans, sections, elevations by hand. Knowledge of architectural programming and translation to space planning. Understanding of lighting/dimming and rigging systems preferred. Experience with Excel, Photoshop 7.0 and Word a plus. 37.5 hr work week, benefits: health insurance, TransitCheck, 1 week paid vacation per 6 months worked. Salary range $40,000 - $45,000.

We are a small firm that consults with architects and owners on the design or renovation of theaters only. The Project Manager / Jr. Architect would be trained in the drafting of seating layouts, sight line studies, and design / drafting of theater rigging, lighting systems, drapery, etc. Other responsibilities would include day to day project management duties such as answering client's technical questions, meeting with sale reps, tracking paper work, editing equipment specifications, product research, shop drawing reviews, etc.

Good design skills, good communication skills, some client contact, a team player is our preference.
