Classification Salary + Incentives

Reporting to the Domestic Sales Manager, this individual is a key player on the Sales team, reviews project plans and specifications, produces equipment quotations for orders and dealer / contract bids. The estimator assists customers to provide a better understanding of standard and custom rigging solutions, and works to improve the estimating process.

Job Description

  • Work on all types of project estimates from small component packages to dealer and contract projects
  • Review project drawings and specifications
  • Produce accurate estimates, quotations and bills of materials using proprietary quoting program
  • Review work of other estimators and sales staff as required
  • Work with internal resources (Engineering, Project Management, Production) to identify project needs as they relate to pricing
  • Use CRM Program for project information tracking
  • Communicate with architects, consultants and contractors regarding project requirements and pricing development
  • Participate in industry trade shows as required
  • Adhere to ISO processes and requirements, drive improvements
  • Perform work activities in line with achieving the company’s Quality Management Objectives
  • Degree in Technical Theatre, Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent sales and construction experience
  • ETCP Rigger – Theatre, preferred
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Strong computer skills including Excel, Outlook, Word, Estimating & CRM Software
  • Working knowledge of pre-construction processes, documents and theatre rigging applications
  • Problem solving – solution based
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to focus and capture small details – critical to accurate equipment pricing

  • ISO 9001 Quality Management System, preferred
  • Experience with EPICOR & SalesForce a plus

Job Description: Responsibilities and authority include:

  • Create CAD lighting system bid sets for integrated packages
  • Compile associated bid specifications
  • Provide lighting system quoting support
  • Support Clancy project management team in day-to-day needs
  • Assist with compiling multiple vendor submittal drawings
  • Assist with vendor purchasing, as needed
  • Coordination with multiple vendors for schedule, deliveries, and other requirements
  • Assist with other project specific issues as they arise
  • Provide technical resource for console programming (training available)
  • Ability to travel when needed for onsite project support
Minimum Qualification Criteria:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Theatre Lighting
Skills: Excellent people skills – internal and external
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong computer skills including Excel, Outlook, Word, and Adobe/Bluebeam
AutoCAD experience mandatory
Proficiency in technical math and the principals of theatrical lighting design
Must have the ability to work against deadlines
Experience: Previous lighting project management experience preferred (will train for right person) Experience in theatrical and architectural lighting – knowledge of lighting system layout and function preferred
Lighting console/systems experience
