Project Description:
To meet current production requirements, an 18 year old motorized rigging system, with noise and positioning problems was replaced. Three fixed speed PowerLift® hoists (20 fpm, 2,000 lb. capacity) were provided for the lighting sets, and nine PowerLifts with a speed range of 0-120 fpm and a 1,250 lb. capacity for scenery sets. The hoists are controlled by a SceneControl® 500 rigging control system providing accurate, repeatable positioning, and load sensing. The console has 3D graphic views of the Alden Theatre stage for easy operation.
