Clancy, the leading North American theatre rigging designer
and manufacturer, has an excellent career opportunity
for an International salesperson. Founded in 1885, we're
still growing with new, innovative products like the
PowerLift and SceneControl Automated Rigging System.
The
salesperson will respond to requests for information
and quotes, be involved in estimating, prepare proposals,
and travel internationally (typically 6-8 times per
year). The person will work with existing dealers and
be responsible for developing new accounts.
Ideal
candidates for the position will have 2-5 year sales
experience, a good working knowledge of theatrical rigging
systems and the ability to clearly explain their use,
benefits, and suitability. International travel experience,
as well as an understanding of different cultures and
business approaches, is required. Clear written communication
skills are essential.

CONTROLS ENGINEER |

Clancy designs, manufactures, and installs motorized
rigging equipment worldwide. We are searching for a
person with diverse skills and experience to design
in house and perform system commissioning in theatres
throughout the world.
The
position includes design of fixed speed and variable
speed three phase AC motor starter cabinets per NEC
and UL508A. Experience with AutoCad required.
The
ideal candidate should have experience with control
system design incorporating programmable controllers,
HMI's, and industrial PC's. Knowledge of PLC programming
and Visual Studio.Net is strongly preferred.
The
position requires some travel. Interpersonal skills
are necessary to interface with various industrial trades,
construction managers, and consultants on site.

TECHNICAL DESIGNER / DRAFTER |

have an immediate employment opportunity for a Technical
Designer/Drafter to prepare submittal drawings for rigging
systems going into theaters and other structures. Duties
include review of construction plans and specs, creation
of layouts (plan and elevation views) and detail drawings,
designing or specifying structural, rigging, and hardware
items, performing drawing review of own and other engineers/drafters
work.
Ideal
candidates for this position will have a strong experience
using AutoCAD for mechanical and/or architectural drawing.
Experience with Autodesk Inventor or other 3D mechanical
design software preferred. Theater design or Technical
Direction background is a major plus. The position may
include occasional field checks and support on project
job sites, and will involve coordination with project
managers and manufacturing shop support. Opportunities
exist to support new product development in addition
to other duties.

of structural and/or machine design. Experience in 2-D

and common load calculations are desired. Theater design

position may include occasional field checks and support
on project job sites, and will involve manufacturing
shop support as required. Opportunities exist to support
